FREEMASONRY IN THE COMMUNITY
Can we help you?
Objects of The Worcestershire Freemasons Charity (WFC)
The broad objects of WFC are to relieve sickness and preserve health, advance education, and prevent or relieve poverty and financial hardship.

Grant-making principles

-
Preference will be given applications relating to the counties of Worcestershire, Warwickshire, and Staffordshire (the primary geographical areas of benefit).
-
Preference will be given to applications from registered charitable bodies but, at the trustees’ discretion, applications from other voluntary bodies and individuals will be considered
-
Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will, typically, not be considered for second or subsequent applications within 12 months of their most recent application.
Criteria
The goal is to make grants to a wide range of beneficiaries. The Trustees are particularly keen to help grassroots and small-to-medium-sized registered charities and voluntary organisations in the primary geographical areas of benefit.
While not excluding large England-wide charities, WFC will normally only make grants to such organisations where there are strong relationships in the primary geographical areas of benefit.
Grants will not be made to organisations supporting animals; to public bodies to carry out their statutory obligations; to religious activity, unless there is an identifiable benefit to the whole community.
All applications for support must be made using the WFC Grant Application Form and all requested supporting documentation must be supplied before any application can be considered.
