The Worcestershire Festival 2022

The Worcestershire 2022 Festival in support of the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF)

Each Province is asked once in every 11 years to enter Festival for a 5-year period and fundraise for the MCF (www.mcf.org.uk).  The Festival System in English Freemasonry has been in place for many years and is rotated between Provinces. Each year, 4 of the 47 Provinces enter their next Festival and knowing when this is, allows them to plan carefully for the task ahead.

The Worcestershire 2022 Festival was launched by its President, the Provincial Grand Master, in January 2017 and because of the pandemic, has been extended slightly to April 2023. Over this period the Province is hoping that through charitable donations and fundraising events such as online quizzes, raffles, gala balls, sponsored zip line weekend, walking on hot coals, walking up Mont Blanc, in fact, any fun fundraising event, we will have reached our target of £2,022,000.

This significant fundraising effort is coordinated and run by the Festival Committee and supported by the huge effort of Worcestershire Freemasons.

Who do we raise the money with?

Freemasonry is the name of our Ancient Fraternity, but of course we need an official place and charity name and number which is where the
Masonic Charitable Fund or MCF comes into play.

Funded entirely through the generosity of Freemasons and their families, the Masonic Charitable Foundation (MCF)  is one of the largest grant-making charities in the country.

They build better lives by enabling opportunity, advancing healthcare and education and promoting independence.
