Our Team.

John and his wife Anne live to the South of Birmingham and have three grown up sons, Matthew, Daniel and Nicholas.  He is Managing Director of a specialist software company, operating throughout the UK and with a smaller number of clients overseas.

 

Masonically speaking, “I enjoy most aspects of Freemasonry and particularly value the friendships I have made in the Craft, Royal Arch and Knights Templar”.

 

John was initiated into Masefield Lodge in 2002 and served as WM in 2008.  He was appointed Prov. Grand Steward in 2012, Prov. Senior Grand Warden in 2015, served as Assistant Provincial Grand Master 2019-2023 and holds the Grand Rank of PSGD.

 

Exalted into Masefield Chapter in 2004 he served as MEZ in 2009.  He was appointed Prov. Assistant Grand D.C. 2012-13, Prov. Deputy Grand D.C. 2014-15, Prov. Grand Scribe Nehemiah 2016 and Third Provincial Grand Principal in 2017, receiving Grand Rank in the Royal Arch in 2017, and appointed to his present role as Provincial Grand Haggai in 2024.

 

A Past Eminent Preceptor of Bernard de Frankley Preceptory, John was appointed to acting Provincial rank in Knights Templar in 2019.  He is also a Past Supreme Ruler of St Martins Conclave in the Order of the Secret Monitor, having held both acting and past Provincial ranks in Warwickshire, but has since left the order to concentrate on his other Masonic duties.

 

Family, business and Freemasonry keep him fairly busy but when time permits John enjoys reading, international travel, and Birmingham City Football Club (yes I know), all of which currently play second fiddle to four lovely grand-daughters, with whom he finds himself unexpectedly besotted.
