Minster Lodge enjoy a Taste of Texas

On Saturday 3rd February Minster Lodge met in what will be their new format. That is the Brethren arrived from 9:30 am and enjoyed a full English breakfast and opened the Lodge at

11:00 am and were away home by lunch time.

What a great morning this turned out to be. The breakfast was good and the relaxed atmosphere that was created set a perfect ambiance for the whole morning. Brethren from all parts of the Province had come to support us, with the bikers from Lodge of Progress and a contingent from Northfield being very prominent. Minster Lodge is very grateful for all the support.

The Lodge opened as planned at 11:00 am and we were then treated to an excellent talk on what Freemasonry was like in Texas. This was given by the Brother of our Worshipful Master. R.W. Bro Dean Bryant who was the District Deputy Grand Master for District 31-A in the Grand Lodge of Texas in 2022. Having moved to Texas following his marriage to a Texan girl he had been initiated into Masonry over there and he enlightened the lodge with his experience's and a first hand picture of the work Masons do in their communities in Texas. He also presented each Brother with a special coin to mark the occasion. I’m sure everyone present enjoyed his talk and our thanks go to him for all his efforts.

We now have to repeat this for future meetings, I think we have set a very high standard to work to. Our next Saturday morning Lodge will be on the second Saturday in July, watch this space for news of that meeting.

Once again, our grateful thanks to all those who supported us.
