Regatta 2022 - Sunday 17th July 2022

This years Regatta is coming up fast and below are the details for you to put into your diary.

Saturday the 16th of July will be a Festival Celebration - details on this will be out soon.

The 2022 Charity Regatta and Fun Day on Sunday the 17th will be open to the public as well as brethren, families and friends.
Gates will open on Sunday from 12 noon and this will include street food, beers, stalls and family fun, live bands, classic vehicles show with cars, motorcycles and others on Pitchcroft, accessed through the Pitchcroft car park off Severn Terrace.
The Regatta element of the day will centre on the Worcester Rowing Club adjoining Pitchcroft and will feature an opening Oxford v Cambridge race in the guise of the Assistant Grand Master, Sir David Wootton, and a crew of Cambridge alumni v our very own Provincial Grand Master (Head of Freemasonry in Worcestershire) with an Oxford alumni crew. From the current entries it appears that there will be at least two other Provincial Grand Masters leading crews in the competition.

Tickets are £5 (under 12s free) in advance from Eventbrite or £7.50 on the gate. Parking on Pitchcroft is included free with the ticket. The event can be found on Eventbrite under 'Regatta Fun Day 2022’ or the link below: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/regatta-fun-day-2022-tickets-334651370257 The other important element of the afternoon is the Duck Race when we hope to release up to 3000 yellow plastic ducks from captivity to make a break for freedom along the Severn. Tickets to secure your duck are circulating via the Worshipful Master and Secretary in each lodge across the Province and are £3 each - a small sum to sponsor a duck’s bid for freedom! If anyone needs Duck tickets they can contact David Davis by email at david.davis@djdgroup.co.uk. The race should be great fun and there are cash prizes of up to £450.
